What do we need?

Short-term and on-call volunteers to…

  • Perform office tasks such as stuffing and address mailings, or sourcing and organizing needed therapeutic supplies (games, crafts, book) that are donated to us (1-3 hours as needed)

  • Bring physical support by joining in for set up or tear down at a community event (1-3 hours as needed)

  • Write an article or blog post of a current event/topic in mental wellness for newsletter, social media, or website (1-3 hours as needed)

  • Assist our fundraising efforts by dropping off letters at local organizations, and meet to discuss sponsorship opportunities with local businesses (1-3 hours a month)

  • Help raise community awareness of our services by inviting representatives from YCC to a group that you are currently involved in (1 hour a month)

Volunteers who can make an ongoing commitment are needed to…

  • Serve on our volunteer Board of Directors to make a direct impact on our strategy and direction (1-3 hours a month)

    • Duties: meet for monthly board meetings, actively participate on committees or by holding other positions, maintain financial standing and the mission of organization, cultivate relationships in the community, actively fundraise throughout the year

  • Join our Clinical Consultation Team - for volunteers who hold an independent license in mental health related field (1 hour a month)

    • Duties: serve as a sounding board for Executive Director and clinical services of organization, offer expertise and clinical feedback
